I recently attempted this paper model but had problems with the spherical part as well, so I replaced it with a suitable expanded polystyrene sphere. The result has been posted on my own page.

I should make this and give it to my Theatre teacher at the end of my school year. He had us watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail in class one time.

I made this one as a Christmas present to my sister. It took two tries, of course, because the spherical form was hard to build.

Wow! A Christmas present. That's cool. Yes, you are right, the spherical form is not the easiest thing to build! Hope you had fun, nonetheless. :)

Hey thanks for the fav. The HHG has popped up in dozens of video games. Speaking of Athiesm and Monty Python... :) If memory serves me, John Cleese was an athiest when Holy Grail was made, although I think he has since moved on to other beliefs.

Yes, do be careful with the holy pin when building the HHA, timing is essential. :)

BTW, I really enjoy your papercraft designs Mike.

Looks cool to me

But remember.. First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.
